Catalina Island Conservancy
Upon checkout, please consider donating to our host organization, the Catalina Island Conservancy. This is a real treasure of California and we are fortunate to enjoy the experience, the land and the animals from it's most intimate setting
The Catalina Island Conservancy is one of the oldest private land trusts in Southern California. It protects 88 percent of Catalina Island, including more than 62 miles of unspoiled beaches and secluded coves and of course miles of trails for the marathon!
The Conservancy’s mission is to be a responsible steward of the land through a balance of conservation, education and recreation. It is dedicated to protecting and restoring Catalina’s unique wildlands and their inhabitants.
The Conservancy is a leader in conservation programs that protect and restore endangered species and threatened habitats. It conducts educational outreach through the Tailhead visitor center, The Nature Center, Wrigley Memorial & Botanic Garden and guided experiences in the Island’s rugged interior. By promoting public access to the wonders of wild Catalina, the Conservancy generates greater understanding, appreciation, and support for its conservation mission.
The Conservancy welcomes all runners to the Island and hope you enjoy experiencing the wildlands.
